Role: Network Coordinator

Programme: Arts and Education Network: South East Wales

Employer: Caerphilly County Borough Council

Application closing date: 02/08/2018

Location: Blackwood

Salary: Grade 9 (£29,909 – £33,136)

This post is Full Time and Fixed Term until 31st March 2019.

The Arts and Education Network: South East Wales delivers a programme of events, brokering, advice and professional development training for teachers and artists who deliver arts projects in schools and educators in cultural organisations.

The network is part of the Arts Council of Wales Creative Learning Plan, a major programme aiming to improve the range and quality of arts activity delivered in schools. The network is one of four regional arts and education networks across Wales. The networks are funded by Welsh Government through the Arts Council of Wales. Following a tender process, Caerphilly County Borough Council was appointed to deliver the network in the South East region of Wales in early 2016.

The current Network Co-ordinator is stepping down so we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to lead, manage and develop the activity of The Arts and Education Network: South East Wales. Based at the Blackwood Miners’ Institute, the successful candidate will be passionate and knowledgeable about the arts, and have previous experience of leadership or management within an arts and education context, and be able to foster strong partnerships and collaborations.
