Background

Sally has taught drama to young people for over 20 years during her time at Lliswerry High School in Newport, where she is currently Head of Performing Arts. She believes strongly in the power of drama to help young people grow in confidence and develop their personal skills, from improving the way they communicate to how they work alongside others.

Sally has taught Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level drama for many years, with many of her pupils going on to study drama in higher education. She prides herself on keeping in touch with her ex-students and following their careers as talented actors, performing artists and drama teachers.

She has been passionate about theatre since she was a child, and drama continues to be a big part of her life. As well as teaching, she has directed numerous school productions, has taken part in the local amateur dramatics society, worked at Stage Coach, and was recently involved in a Lead Creative Schools project.
