I am a highly experienced freelance Creative Arts Practitioner. I specialise in portraiture, visual mixed media, text, songwriting/recording, storytelling, sculpture, film and music. I have had several successful fine art exhibitions and as a composer and performing singer-songwriter have toured extensively worldwide. I have been a professional artist since 1986.

I operate as a ‘socially engaged artist’ in a wide range of disciplines and contexts: working within but not limited to: schools, palliative care settings, community festivals, hospitals, BAME, justice system, mental health/learning difficulties and disability sectors, intergenerational and multi faith groups.

My most recent school projects included sculpture – instillations – outdoor interactive art – film making – song writing and model making.

My strength is my ability to work across the art forms and find innovative ways to merge these disciplines. I am very comfortable in all ages and abilities from foundation phase to high school and palliative care to prisons.

Through their creative skills, they supported the children in the development of this project as time went on. This allowed the project to be led and developed by the interests of the children. At all times throughout the project, staff were part of the discussion, direction of the project and equal partners in development of the project. Feedback from staff, children and parents was incredibly positive and supportive of the project. Staff were invigorated and enthused by the project and outcomes for children improved in attendance, engagement and oracy skills. As a school, we are incredibly proud to have been selected to have our work, created with Bill and Mandy, installed in the Tate Modern. Giving the children the opportunity to visit the Tate was an incredible experience and also a career highlight for the staff involved. I'm sure we all agree that the children enjoyed the hands on work and the tile and brick that they produced looked great.
