Arts council of Wales

A grant that can be used to fund visits to high-quality arts events in galleries, theatres, arts centres and other venues. Events could include visits to performances and exhibitions or visits to experience arts professionals developing and creating their work.

Schools can apply for up to £1,000 at any time in the year and will receive a decision within six to eight weeks.

Connecting Classrooms Through Global Learning

British Council

Programme providing grants of up to £35,000 to clusters of schools or grants of up to £3,000 for a one-to-one school partnership to support a wide range of global learning activities, including training for teachers and supply cover, reciprocal visits to international partners schools, and hosting community events. The funding is available to schools with existing partnerships or those seeking to develop new partnerships.

The next closing date for applications is 9th March 2020.

Community Music Projects

Music for All

Grants for schools who would benefit from a helping hand to fulfil their potential in bringing music to their community. The funding can be put towards musical instrument costs, workshops/training, using music to break down barriers, providing a variety of educational opportunities as well as helping to find ways to integrate many diverse and minority groups positively into society. Grants of up to £2,500 are available.

Decca Bursary

Universal Music UK

The Decca Bursary aims to inspire and encourage a new generation of classical musicians and composers. Its mission is to help children afford a classical music education, no matter their financial background. Grants of up to £2000 are available to eligible individuals in need of funding for classical music tuition, instruments, courses and equipment. Grants are also available to schools for classical instruments and resources.

Outdoor Essentials Grant

Ernest Cook Trust

The ECT Outdoor Essentials Grant is a £500 award to UK State funded Primary and Secondary Schools to enable them to get their pupils learning outdoors. Research carried out on behalf of The Ernest Cook Trust has identified that lack of appropriate outdoor clothing and equipment is a key barrier to outdoor learning.

The current round of funding is for grants to be used for the purchase of Wellies and Waterproofs only.

Tesco

Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme where the money raised by the carrier bag charge in Tesco stores is being used to fund thousands of community projects. The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community. Grants of up to £2,000 are available.

Forever Manchester

Kellogg’s has teamed up with Forever Manchester to award grants of £1,000 to school Breakfast Clubs, to help them provide breakfast to those children who need it most. You can apply for an award at any date and you will hear within one month if you have been successful.
